Ibokin and Mitsui & Co. have finalized a strategic alliance to create a stable metal scrap supply network. This collaboration addresses the steel industry’s need for rapid decarbonization and the expanded use of electric arc furnaces.

Ibokin contributes extensive experience in building demolition and resource recycling, while Mitsui & Co. provides a global industry network and technical expertise.

Both companies intend to integrate precise data on material balance and carbon emissions from dismantling processes with advanced distribution systems. By merging these capabilities, the partners aim to improve scrap quality, volume, and traceability, advancing the development of a sustainable circular economy.

This agreement strengthens the link between dismantling operations and manufacturing to meet new environmental demands.
