The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) released preliminary findings for its administrative review of the anti-dumping (AD) duty order on stainless steel bars from India. This investigation, covering the period between February 1, 2024, and January 31, 2025, examined eight producers.

The USDOC determined that the Venus Group, a collective of several companies including Atlas Stainless, Astrabright, Venus Wire Industries, and Hindustan Inox, sold products at 30.92% below normal market value.

Conversely, Laxcon Steels Private Limited and its affiliates received a zero dumping margin, as their sales matched fair pricing standards. Five other firms not selected for individual review face a 15.46% rate.

Additionally, the USDOC rescinded its review of Ambica Steel Limited because the initial request was withdrawn.

Interested parties now have the chance to provide comments on these preliminary results before the final determination.
