Nucor again lifts HRC spot prices

Nucor Corporation, the largest steel producer in the US, announced a price increase for its hot-rolled coil (HRC) products in a letter distributed to customers yesterday (May 18).

The Charlotte, North Carolina-headquartered steelmaker raised its consumer spot price (CSP) to US$1,090 per short ton, which represented a US$10 per short ton increase compared to the prior week.

At California Steel Industries (CSI), Nucor’s West Coast joint venture, HRC prices were also lifted by US$10 per short ton week over week, reaching US$1,140 per short ton.
