Tata Steel raises steel output and extends logistics control

Tata Steel expanded its manufacturing operations, lifting consolidated steel production by over 10% year on year to 8.23 million tons during the March quarter.

Indian operations led this growth, with domestic steel output rising by more than 14% to reach 6.22 million tons compared to 5.44 million tons in the corresponding period in the previous year. In Europe, the liquid steel production in the Netherlands operations reached 1.63 million tons, and UK deliveries faced subdued demand.

For the complete fiscal year 2025-26, Tata Steel’s consolidated steel production rose to 31.67 million tons from 30.92 million tons in the prior year.

Besides, the company signed agreements to acquire an extra 23% stake in TM International Logistics, a provider of raw material and finished goods transport support, for Rs 3.35 billion.
