Crude steel production from four African countries increases in Mar m-o-m, y-o-y

According to data from the World Steel Association (worldsteel), in March, the crude steel production from Egypt, South Africa, Libya, and Tunisia totaled about 1.35 million tons, increasing by 18.8% month on month and growing by 8.4% year on year. In the first quarter, their production went down by 2.6% year on year to about 3.71 million tons.

In March, despite the shrink of domestic demand and consumption, Egypt was still Africa's biggest crude steel production country, with about 828,000 tons, hiking by 17.4% from the previous month and increasing by 2.4% year on year.
