According to Argentina's Steel Chamber CAA, the country's crude steel production reached about 371,000 tons in September, a growth of 6.9% compared to August of this year but a drop of 17.1% compared to the same month of last year.

Construction, one of the main steel-consuming sectors, grew by 3% month on month but fell by 18% year on year. Meanwhile, the automotive industry registered a drop of 4% month-on-month and a drop of 12% year-on-year during the month, reflecting the economic uncertainty affecting vehicle production in the country.

Lastly, the agricultural machinery sector showed strong growth of 27% year-on-year due to the dynamic agricultural activities, which has continued to invest in equipment.
