Turkey’s CRC imports experience y-o-y reduction in Jan-Oct

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey's cold-rolled coil (CRC) imports amounted to around 630,000 tons in the first ten months of this year, falling by 19% compared to the same period a year ago. The value of these imports dropped by 22% year on year to US$487 million.

Among them, the top three import sources were South Korea (around 177,000 tons, a year-on-year drop of 39%), China (around 154,000 tons, a year-on-year reduction of 4.4%), and Russia (around 130,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 19%).

In October alone, Turkey imported around 53,000 tons of CRC, falling by 30% month on month and by 47% year on year. The value generated by these imports was US$39.4 million, a month-on-month fall of 32% and a year-on-year reduction of 49%.
