According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey's hot-rolled coil (HRC) exports amounted to around 386,000 tons in the first two months of this year, rising by 40% compared to the year-ago level. The export value was roughly US$219 million, hiking by 19% year on year.

Among them, the top three export destinations were Italy (around 82,000 tons, a year-on-year hike of 16%), Spain (around 56,000 tons, a year-on-year jump of 250%), and Egypt (around 40,300 tons, a year-on-year increase of 21%).

In February alone, Turkey exported around 263,000 tons of HRC, soaring by 113% month on month and by 60% year on year. The value generated by these exports totaled approximately US$146 million, up by 102% month on month and by 34% year on year.
