Butting, a German stainless steel pipe manufacturer, is investing US$61 million to establish its North American headquarters and first US production facility in Loxley, Alabama. This project will create up to 100 new jobs in Baldwin County.

The new operation, situated on over 50 acres, will begin with an official groundbreaking in Fall 2025. Phase one includes the headquarters, engineering functions, and fabrication of high-quality stainless steel spools, components, and cryogenic pipe systems. Phase two will integrate two state-of-the-art stainless steel welded pipe mills and expand the cryogenic production portfolio and fabrication capabilities.

This investment is a major step for Baldwin County, solidifying its position as a center for advanced manufacturing and international trade.
