Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a leading stainless steel manufacturer in Taiwan, announced its price for August, with 304 hot-rolled and cold-rolled stainless steel once again subject to individual customer negotiations. It is the second consecutive month of unannounced pricing for the key product.

Meanwhile, 430 stainless steel prices remain unchanged, and the surcharge of 316L stainless steel increases by NT$2,000/ton.

This decision for 304 stainless steel comes as a surprise to the market, which had expected a return to set pricing due to rising Chinese market prices, increased export quotes from Indonesia's Tsingshan, and a shift in the New Taiwan Dollar's exchange rate from appreciation to depreciation.
