Taiwan's CRC imports plummet in Jul m-o-m

11 Aug 2025 14:19 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
According to statistics, Taiwan's imports of cold-rolled coils (CRC) had a significant reduction in July, with volumes nearly halving compared to June. Total imports fell to approximately 28,000 tons. The decline was primarily driven by a notable drop in material from China, which fell from nearly 50,000 tons in June to 21,000 tons.

Despite this sharp reduction, China remained the largest source, accounting for 76% of all CRC imports. South Korean imports increased 45% month on month to about 5,100 tons, while shipments from Japan plummeted by 63% month on month to around 1,500 tons.

The average import price for CRC from Japan was the highest among the three major suppliers, and the price of materials from China was the lowest.
