Turkey’s Hasçelik announced the successful completion of trial production for 42CrMo4 and 41Cr4 grade quenched and tempered steels at its new-generation steel plant using vacuum closed casting technology.
The company said this milestone underscores its advanced manufacturing capabilities in producing high-quality steels. By combining vacuum and closed casting, levels of hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen in alloyed steels are reduced, resulting in improved internal homogeneity, superior machinability, and high-performance final products.
Hasçelik noted that these technologies provide critical advantages for customers in sectors requiring high strength, fatigue resistance, and machinability. Industries such as automotive, machinery manufacturing, aerospace, and energy are expected to benefit from the more reliable and predictable performance of these steels.
