US drops CRC imports in Jun m-o-m

According to preliminary data from the US Census Bureau under the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 89,300 tons of cold-rolled coils (CRC) in June, a 0.6% decrease from the previous month and a 1.3% hike compared to the same month a year earlier.

Among them, Canada led with about 24,000 tons, a month-on-month fall of 19% and a year-on-year decrease of 54%. Taiwan and Australia followed with around 16,000 tons and 13,000 tons.

The total import value for these products was around US$87 million, down by 6.8% month on month and by 14% year on year.
