Jindal Steel aims for 12 million tons in crude steel output in FY26

India’s Jindal Steel is targeting a crude steel output of 12 million tons in the fiscal year 2026, driven by the recent commissioning of a new blast furnace with an annual capacity of 4 million tons at its Angul plant in Odisha.

Chairman Naveen Jindal said that the company's production was 8.1 million tons last year, indicating a substantial planned increase. He also discussed the company's long-term aspirations of reaching 300 million tons by 2030, pending improved availability of raw materials, especially iron ore, and more competitive logistics costs.
