According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending on September 20, 2025, the production of US’ raw steel totaled 1.754 million net tons, decreasing by 0.6% from the same period a week ago and rising by 5.9% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 77.4%, down by 0.5 percentage points week on week and up by 2.8 percentage points year on year.

As of the week ending on September 20, 2025, the adjusted year-to-date production of US’ raw steel has amounted to 64.979 million net tons, rising by 2.1% compared to the prior-year level. The capacity utilization rate was 77.0%, up by 0.8 percentage points year on year.
