Chinese hot-rolled prices may remain weak in short term

30 Sep 2025 16:26 reported by Isora

The hot-rolled spot prices in the Chinese market declined slightly yesterday (September 29), and market activities were generally weak, since most of the buyers finished replenishing their inventories before the coming National Day holidays.

As the supply does not decrease, it seems that in the short term, the hot-rolled prices in the Chinese market may remain weak.

As for cold-rolled products, cold-rolled spot prices are currently stable, yet show a mild downtrend as traders would prefer to lower their stock level and therefore are glad to offer discounts to their customers.
