Jindal Stainless, a leading stainless steel manufacturer in India, is investing Rs 700 crore in decarbonization initiatives as part of its goal to achieve a 50% CO2 reduction by 2035 and net zero by 2050.

The company announced it reduced its carbon footprint by 318,248 metric tons in the fiscal year 2025, a year-on-year decrease of 14%. The investment will fund projects including Odisha's largest captive solar plant, energy efficiency upgrades, and supply chain digitization.

Jindal Stainless plans to build on this momentum in the fiscal year 2026 to further reduce emissions, and it is also working to ramp up its annual melt capacity to 4.2 million tons by the fiscal year 2027.
