Jindal Stainless, a leading stainless steel manufacturer in India, has inaugurated its first stainless steel fabrication unit in Mumbai, built with an investment of around Rs 125 crore.

This facility, which spans 4 lakh square feet in Washivali, Patalganga, will operate under its subsidiary, Jindal Stainless Steelway Limited (JSSL).

The unit will initially focus on producing critical components, including girders for the bridge sector. Its annual fabrication capacity is expected to increase from an estimated 4,000 tons in the current fiscal year to 18,000 tons by the fiscal year 2027.

This strategic move makes the company a provider of end-to-end fabrication solutions for India’s infrastructure, demonstrating confidence in the demand for stainless steel products and aiming to improve supply chain efficiency in Western India.
