Harsco Environmental, a division of Enviri Corporation, has inked a new 15-year, US$150 million contract with Jindal Stainless, India's largest stainless steel producer.

This renewed agreement expands Harsco Environmental's operations in Jajpur, Odisha, India, to process additional stainless steel slag from Jindal Stainless’s expanded facilities, building on a partnership that began in 2015.

The contract includes extending the existing stainless steel slag processing agreement for another ten years and constructing an additional wet milling plant. This plant, the only one of its kind in India, will handle hot slag and recover metal from waste products, supporting a commitment to circularity.

The expansion is expected to create about 140 new local jobs. Harsco Environmental aims to double its business in India by 2028.
