NMDC Steel Limited (NSL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NMDC, has become India’s first company to receive BIS certification (IS 18384:2023) for hot rolled steel strip, sheet, and plates used in welded steel pipe for pipeline transportation systems. 

The certificate was presented during World Standards Day 2025 in Raipur by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, with S.K. Gupta of BIS Raipur and Amrit Narayan of NMDC Steel in attendance.

This achievement underscores NMDC Steel’s commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability, aligning with global standards such as ISO 3183 and API 5L.
