Taiwan's export price for 300-series stainless steel cold-rolled coil (CRC) has risen back above the NT$70,000 per ton level in September, rebounding from a five-year low.

Customs statistics showed that the September export volume decreased to around 23,400 tons, but the average price reversed its four-month decline. Meanwhile, import volume had a month-on-month increase of 70%, reaching 4,700 tons, yet the import price fell slightly, ending its three-month streak of gains.

In the first three quarters of this year, import volume rose by 27% year on year to 41,700 tons, while export volume decreased by 18% to 267,000 tons. Both import and export average prices for 300-series stainless steel showed substantial year-over-year decreases.
