From January to September 2025, the Turkish steel production reached 28.1 million tons, up by 0.6% compared with the previous year, while the steel consumption totaled nearly 29 million tons, a y-o-y 3.9% increase. Meanwhile, Turkish steel imports grew by 17.2% to 14.2 million tons.

In the first ten months of this year, Turkey's steel exports rose by 9.5% y-o-y, reaching around 16 million tons. Hot-rolled steel exports increased by 25.8% to 3.26 million tons. Construction steel exports increased by 18.1% to 3.3 million tons, and welded tube exports remained basically stable at 1.7 million tons. Profile exports grew by 3.7% to 1.55 million tons.
