Nucor raises HRC price for seventh straight week

9 Dec 2025 16:15 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
Nucor Corporation, the largest steel producer in the US, has announced its seventh consecutive weekly price hike for hot-rolled coil (HRC), showing a decisive change toward a bullish market trend as 2025 closes.

Effective on December 8, the new Consumer Spot Price (CSP) for HRC reached US$930 per short ton across most of its mills, up by US$10 per ton over the prior week's rate.

The price for California Steel Industries (CSI) is set at US$980 per ton. This extended rally is occurring amid tightening supply and reduced production rates across the US steel market.
