POSCO has completed production preparations for DuraPOS™, the first domestically developed wear-resistant hot-rolled steel plate, which is expected to reduce reliance on imported products in the future.

According to POSCO Holdings, the company has fully completed the configuration of its production line for wear-resistant hot-rolled steel plates with a thickness of less than 5 mm.

POSCO Holdings stated that the material has a hardness three times that of general commercial steel and possesses higher durability. This can reduce the amount of steel used, as it maintains the same strength as traditional materials even when the thickness is reduced to one-third.
