According to statistics from the World Steel Association (worldsteel), global crude steel production totaled 140.1 million tons in November, sliding by 4.6% compared to the same month a year ago.

Among them, Asia and Oceania’s crude steel production reached about 99.9 million tons, falling by 7.1% year on year, of which China's output accounted for 69.9 million tons, down by 10.9% year on year. The crude steel production from 27 EU countries was around 10.2 million tons, falling by 3.5% year on year. The CIS countries produced roughly 6.3 million tons, down by 3.9% year on year.

During the period, North American crude steel output was 9 million tons, going up by 5.4% year on year; South American output was 3.5 million tons, rising by 2.4% year on year. Crude steel production in Africa went up by 7.4% year on year to 2.0 million tons, and the output in the Middle East grew by 8.2% year on year to 5.5 million tons.

In the first 11 months of this year, global crude steel output amounted to roughly 1.7 billion tons, a year-on-year reduction of 2%.
