South Africa initiates AD probe into color-coated steel from China

The International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) launched an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on color-coated steel imports from China, following an application submitted by ArcelorMittal South Africa Ltd (AMSA) and Safal Steel (Pty) Ltd (SAFAL).

The period of investigation is from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025, and the period for injury investigation is from May 1, 2022, to April 30, 2025.

The products involved are flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of 600 mm or more, clad, plated or coated, painted, varnished or coated with plastics, under HS codes 7210.70.20, 7210.70.30, 7210.70.40, and 7210.70.90.
