Circulation prices of HRC in Taiwan market have rebounded

14 Jan 2026 14:50 reported by Alston Tsai

A A A
At present, prices in the Asian market and raw material costs are strengthening, but actual demand remains sluggish. China Steel Corp.(CSC)'s February rate also rose slightly, in line with market expectations.

Steel mills in Vietnam, China, Japan, and South Korea have all raised their offers for hot-rolled coil (HRC), and CSC is following suit with this positive price trend.

In addition, CSC's price now is almost equivalent to the current prices of imported HRC, creating a sales constraint. Therefore, downstream distributors also believe that raising circulation prices is imperative.
