Kazakhstan's Qarmet increases steel output by 12% in 2025

According to Qarmet, a major blast furnace steel manufacturer in Kazakhstan, in 2025, the company's steel output reached 3.8 million tons, which increased by 12% compared with 2024. 

Besides, the company plans to invest US$3.5 billion before the end of this century to update its assets and develop better steel products that could enhance its competitiveness. 

In 2024, the company already announced a long-term plan to raise its steel production capacity to 5 million tons per year by 2028. 

In 2026, Qarmet is going to make further upgrades to its equipment and build new machines and production lines.
