Tangshan environmental authorities recently approved the Environmental Impact Report for Shougang Jingtang’s galvanized automotive sheet production line.

Located within the Caofeidian Iron and Steel Power Park, the CNY 1.226 billion project is expected to produce 450,000 tons of galvanized steel products annually. This investment will include a new production plant equipped with uncoilers, recoilers, electrostatic oilers, and passivation machines, supported by automated control and water systems.

The approval requires strict adherence to pollution control measures regarding air, water, noise, and solid waste. The facility must comply with specific total annual pollutant emission limits upon starting operations.

Shougang Jingtang must also implement a groundwater monitoring plan and ensure all environmental facilities operate simultaneously with the main production system to prevent ecological risks and fulfill its corporate social responsibility.
