Thailand starts AD sunset review on cold-rolled stainless steel from 3 nations

Thailand has launched a sunset review of anti-dumping (AD) duties on cold-rolled stainless steel coils, sheets, and strips from Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea. The existing five-year duties will expire on February 17, 2026. However, the Committee on Dumping and Subsidies determined that removing these AD duties would lead to continued or recurring dumping practices and injury to the domestic industry.

The current AD duty rate for Japan is 0% to 50.92% of the CIF value, for Taiwan is 0% to 33.99%, and South Korean firms are facing a 50.99% duty.

From February 18, 2026, to February 17, 2027, importers must provide security deposits equal to the AD duty amounts until the review is conducted.

The products involved are under HS codes 7219.32.00.030, 7219.32.00.040, 7219.33.00.030, 7219.33.00.040, 7219.34.00.030, 7219.34.00.040, 7219.35.00.030, 7219.35.00.040, 7220.20.10.030, 7220.20.10.040, 7220.20.90.030, and 7220.20.90.040.
