Brazil’s Foreign Trade Executive Management Committee (Gecex) approved definitive anti-dumping (AD) duties on Chinese cold-rolled and coated steel imports starting February 18, 2026. The authority confirmed that these products entered the Brazilian market at dumped prices, causing domestic industry injury.

For cold-rolled flat steel products, which include alloyed or unalloyed carbon steel sheets or coils, of any width or thickness, the definitive AD duties range from US$322.93 to US$670.02 per ton. These products are under tariff codes 7209.15.00, 7209.16.00, 7209.17.00, 7209.18.00, 7209.25.00, 7209.26.00, 7209.27.00, 7209.28.00, 7209.90.00, 7211.23.00, 7211.29.10, 7211.29.20, 7225.50.90, and 7226.92.00 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM).

In terms of flat-rolled coated steel imports, including electrolytically galvanized steel, galvanized steel, aluminum-coated steel, or other steel products alloyed with other metals in a sheet or coil form of any width or thickness, face duties from US$284.98 to US$709.63 per ton. These subject goods are under tariff codes 7210.30.10, 7210.30.90, 7210.49.10, 7210.49.90, 7210.61.00, 7210.69.11, 7210.69.19, 7210.69.90, 7212.20.10, 7212.20.90, 7212.30.00, 7225.91.00, 7225.92.00, 7225.99.90, and 7226.99.00 of the NCM.

Both AD measures will remain active for a period of up to five years.
