Viraj Profiles to invest Rs 280 crore to expand speciality stainless steel production

Viraj Profiles Pvt. Ltd., an Indian stainless steel producer, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India's Ministry of Steel under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. This agreement involves a commitment of Rs 280 crore to expand speciality stainless steel manufacturing.

The investment aims to scale value-added production and improve technological capabilities. By participating in this national framework, the company intends to strengthen domestic manufacturing and position India as a global stainless steel hub.

Managing Director Rakesh Chauhan said the PLI framework is a catalyst for competitiveness. With decades of expertise, Viraj Profiles focuses on innovation-led manufacturing to meet global demand. This project builds a resilient ecosystem for advanced steel while supporting the country's role in international supply chains.
