Nucor announces seventh consecutive weekly HRC price increase

Nucor Corporation, the largest steel producer in the US, raised its hot-rolled coil (HRC) consumer spot price (CSP) by US$15 per short ton, bringing the new quote to US$1,005 per short ton, the seventh consecutive weekly hike. Before this, cumulative increases over six weeks totaled US$35 per short ton.

The company's subsidiary, California Steel Industries (CSI), also increased its HRC spot base price by US$15 to US$1,055 per short ton.

Lead times for these orders remain steady at three to five weeks.
