Nucor again announces weekly price hike for hot-rolled coil

US sheet steel prices rose again as Nucor Corporation, the largest steel producer in the US, updated its consumer spot price (CSP) for the week of March 16, 2026.

The new base price for hot-rolled coil (HRC) is at US$1,015 per short ton, a US$5 increase from the prior week. For West Coast operations at California Steel Industries (CSI), the prices climbed to US$1,065 per short ton.

These weekly figures apply to all new spot transactions until the next scheduled publication. Lead times for these orders currently range from three to five weeks, varying by specific mill availability.
