The National Tariff Commission (NTC) of Pakistan has decided to extend anti-dumping (AD) duties of up to 19.04% on imports of cold-rolled coils and sheets from China.

This protection, originally established in 2016 and renewed in 2021, remains in place to support domestic producers such as International Steels and Aisha Steel Mills.

The measures apply to flat-rolled iron or non-alloy steel used in household appliances and automotive parts.

The measures apply to flat-rolled iron or non-alloy steel used in household appliances and automotive parts. While previous duties covered widths up to 1,250mm, the NTC included slightly modified products with widths above 1,250mm in this extension to address confirmed circumvention.

Specific items such as Tin Mill Black Plate and certain automotive outer skins remain exempt. Besides, the duties will not apply to materials used for export-oriented products or foreign grant-in-aid projects.
