Nucor Corporation, the largest steel producer in the US, announced a US$10 per short ton increase for its hot-rolled coil (HRC) consumer spot price (CSP), which brought the new base price to US$1,025 per short ton, with lead times remaining at three to five weeks.

Nucor also applied a US$10 per short ton week-over-week rise to California Steel Industries (CSI), its West Coast joint venture. Therefore, the spot price for CSI now is at US$1,075 per short ton.
