US raises CRC exports in Jan compared to previous month

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 65,000 tons of cold-rolled coils (CRC) in January, increasing by 68% compared to the previous month but falling by 13% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 50,500 tons, a month-on-month increase of 75% and a year-on-year drop of 9%. Canada ranked second with about 14,000 tons, and the exports to other countries were relatively low.

During the period, the value generated by these exports was roughly US$82 million, up by 56% month on month and down by 7.7% year on year.
