Taiwan's CSC to file AD petition against Chinese and South Korean cold-rolled coils

Taiwan's China Steel Corporation (CSC) has sped up the information collection against China and South Korea’s cold rolled coil imports and plans to file an anti-dumping (AD) petition by April 3, ahead of the long holiday through April 6.

Upon the case raised, the authorities need to decide within 40 days whether to take the case, so the case investigation can be kicked off the earliest in late April or early May if the presentation has not been aborted.

CSC had raised the AD tax against China's hot-rolled steel and got it approved last September, while the cold-rolled, flat-rolled non-oriented electrical steel products from South Korea and China case is still waiting for the preliminary judgment, which is scheduled for late April for the results.

The new investigation into cold-rolled steel action aims to shield the Taiwan steel industry with wider protection under the critical competition.
