Aperam adjusts stainless steel surcharges upward for April

Aperam, a stainless steel manufacturer based in Luxembourg, raised the alloy surcharge for its European austenitic stainless steel flat products for April.

The surcharge for 304 (1.4301) was hiked to EUR 2,211/ton from March’s EUR 2,151/ton; that for 316L (1.4404) was increased to EUR 3,807/ton from EUR 3,653/ton in the previous month; that of 309S (1.4833), used in high-temperature corrosion resistance applications, was EUR 2,982/ton, compared to EUR 2,906/ton in March; that of ferritic stainless steel 409 (1.4512) was increased to EUR 898/ton from the previous month’s EUR 865/ton.

The new surcharge will be applicable on April 1, 2026.
