Nippon Steel holds stainless steel prices steady for Apr

Nippon Steel said its stainless steel prices for April will stay flat compared with March. Prices for 300-series products have been rising for six straight months since October 2025, with total increases reaching JPY65,000 per ton (about US$410 per ton).

 

For April, 300-series prices remain unchanged, while nickel costs fell by 2.1% month-on-month to US$7.76 per pound. Chromium costs for 400-series products have stayed steady for a fifth consecutive month at US$1.63 per pound.
