Taiwan’s CSC announces increases for May leeway prices

20 Apr 2026 16:32 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
China Steel Corporation (CSC), a leading carbon steel producer in Taiwan, has implemented price increases for its May leeway offerings.

Among them, electrical steel is up by NT$1,200 per ton, steel plates rose by NT$1,800, and other products increased by NT$1,500. These adjustments bring leeway costs near project price levels; the differential for hot-rolled soft materials is now under US$2.

With the disappearance of trader profit potential under this mechanism, future orders will rely on actual demand.

Adjusted pricing is NT$18,150 per ton for hot-rolled hard materials, NT$19,150 per ton for hot-rolled soft materials, and NT$20,350 per ton for cold-rolled products.
