Nucor raises HRC prices again

Nucor Corporation, the largest steel producer in the US, has increased its consumer spot price (CSP) for hot-rolled coil (HRC) by US$10 per short ton to US$1,080 per short ton, effective May 11, extending its ongoing upward pricing trend.

The adjustment represents the 16th consecutive weekly increase, bringing the total hike since the start of the year to US$130.

At California Steel Industries (CSI), Nucor’s West Coast joint venture, HRC prices were also lifted by US$10 to US$1,130 per short ton.
