Rio Tinto signs JV agreement with Guinean government and WCS for development of iron ore project

Rio Tinto's Guinea subsidiary has formed a joint venture with the Guinean government and Winning Consortium Simandou (WCS) to develop infrastructure including railway and ports, which would resume the work on the largest undeveloped iron ore project in the world.

The joint venture for the Simandou railway and port is a milestone for Rio Tinto and WCS. Both companies said that they must have a negotiation for the final agreements, while the timeline hasn’t been given.
