Dingsen Steel, a subsidiary of China's Tsingshan Group, recently stated that the company had increased the number of workers employed at the construction site of the Manhize steel plant in Mvuma, Zimbabwe, and was currently striving to start production by December.

The project was progressing rapidly, but the long-term power cut made it difficult to complete the welding work smoothly.

It was estimated that the steel plant would produce about 1.2 million tons of steel annually and create about 10,000 jobs at its peak.
