South Africa's power supply pressure might ease during summer months

During the winter this year, South Africa faced power cuts for several days. The South African central bank indicated that the power cut made the country's growth rate decrease by 2%.

As the summer came, Eskom, a South African electricity public utility, kept an optimistic attitude toward power supply because one of the newest power plants was planned to be put into operation. However, the prediction was on the premise that there are no influenced events, such as plant failure, floods, coal supply, etc.
