Morocco ceases safeguard measures on wire rods & reinforcing bars

According to the notification received by the WTO Committee on Safeguards on November 19, 2023 at the request of the delegation of Morocco, Morocco decided to terminate the safeguard measure on imports of wire rods and reinforcing bars from October 16, 2023, because the country has implemented the safeguard measure, including the period of the provisional measure, the initial application, and the extension, for ten years.

The products involved are wire rods with a diameter ranging from 5.5mm to 14mm and reinforcing bars with a diameter from 5.5mm to 40mm, classified under HS codes 7213.91.90.00 for wire rods and 7214.20.90.00 and 7214.99.91.00 for reinforcing bars.
