Jinan-Almid plans to build 720 MW power station in Zimbabwe

Jinan-Almid (Pvt) Limited, a ferrochrome producer based in Gweru, Zimbabwe, had a plan to open a power station with a power generation of 720 megawatts, aiming to promote economic development in the Midlands, greatly increase Zimbabwe’s electricity output, and have a positive impact on wider national development objectives.

Jinan-Almid, operational in Zimbabwe since 2012, has a capacity utilization of 85%, with four of the five furnaces having a monthly capacity of 7,000 tons.
