South Africa launches certain steel products safeguard investigation

According to the South African report to the WTO's Committee, South Africa has launched a safeguard investigation on certain flat-rolled products of iron, non-alloy steel, or other alloy steel.

The main purpose of the investigation concerns whether increased imports of a product seriously damage domestic industry. Interested parties are required to submit any information or request to the Directorate within 20 days following the initiation of this investigation.
