Turkey’s Kardemir wins contract to supply steel rails to Algeria

Kardemir, a steel producer in Turkey, has inked a contract for the supply of steel rails to Algeria.

The contract, worth nearly EUR 10.3 million, will be executed within three months of the agreement date. This deal will be a significant step for Kardemir in the international railway market. The new tender also demonstrates the company’s competitiveness and ability for the major infrastructure projects overseas and contributes to the development of Turkey’s iron and steel industry.

For Algeria, the rails supplied by Kardemir will be applied to the development of the railway network, which is an important infrastructure project for the country for supporting the national strategic development plans.
