Ternium, a leading steel manufacturing company in Latin America, carried out an inspection visit at Altos Hornos de México (AHMSA) as due diligence to review the main areas of the factory. The inspection could mean progress toward the reactivation of AHMSA, which has entered a bankruptcy procedure.

The due diligence was part of the process of rapprochement between AHMSA and steel companies attracted by its plate and sheet production lines. The audit started on Tuesday and ended on Thursday.

The main areas inspected were the strip line, slab reheating furnaces, hot rolling plate mill, normalizing line, cold rolling, Steckel mill, and the electric arc furnace.
